US President Donald Trump pulled out all the stops for his Palm Beach wedding to the Slovenian model Melania Knauss in January 2005 — a ceremony that cost $1 million(£800,170).
She wore a couture gown designed by Christian Dior's John Galliano, which reportedly cost over $100,000 (£81,000), took 1,000 hours to make, and featured hand-stitched crystal rhinestones and pearls.
A traditional ceremony was held at the Bethesda by the Sea Episcopal Church, but the reception was at Trump's own Mar-a-Lago oceanfront estate in a ballroom "said to be modeled after Versailles."
Billy Joel performed, and the menu included caviar, lobster, and truffles. Hillary and Bill Clinton were guests.

Delphine Arnault, heiress to the Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH) empire, married Alessandro Vallarino Gancia, heir to a dynasty of Italian winemakers, in a ceremony in south-western France in September 2005. However, the couple divorced in 2010.

They exchanged vows at the Roman Catholic Cathédrale Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Bazas, a French national monument and a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage route.
